I Want To Be A Comic Book Writer On The Side How Do I Improve My Vocabulary And My Spelling.?


I want to start writing story’s and creating comic book characters I starting with the character descriptions in July 2008 and I need some advice,websites,and programs I can use to improve my vocabulary, and my spelling so I can be a good writer.

      Read the dictionary. Seriously, it does work.
      Also, read a LOT of books that are challenging. If you don’t know a word, don’t skip over it, even if you can figure out what it means. Look it up.
      My teacher says that 13+, if you don’t know how to spell, you can’t learn. She admits she doesn’t know how to spell. Just have people read over it, type it and do spell check, familiarize yourself with the word.

      Get a blog and start going! If you use firefox, there’s an automatic spell checking tool that should help you whenever you write an entry. The more you write, the better!
      I’ve seen dictionary sites that have a word of the day, so you could look at those.

      Write write write
      Pick up a dictionary and a thesaurus
      Write down whatever comes to mind
      Read everything and anything.
      Broaden your mind, be open and just learn all you can

      Just start writing as much as you can, have it read by someone who you think is good (teacher, parent, other writers)
      Practise is the best way

      start reading..and when you dont understand a word,look it up in the dictionary or the internet…you’ll get smarter and it’ll help you on your carrer and you knowledge
