Yes I am currently reading 19 minutes by Judi Picoult. Her books are some of my favorites. But I am in love With twilight by Stephine Meyers, and out of all classics I love Pride and Prejudices. My favorite form of literature is Realistic Fantasy

Yes, I’m reading Children in the Holocaust and WW2, Their Secret Diaries. I don’t have a favorite genre. I tend to like older books, I think alot of new fiction is a waste of time.

    9. bonitakale says:

Always. Usually a mystery, a nonfiction book, and one of those books on how to have a beautiful house, that basically I just look at pictures in. Right now, I’m reading a book about the dog mind, and I’ve started a mystery (finished one this morning), but I’ve got another couple of mysteries out from the library that I might read first. Then there’s the stack of how-to books. And I re-read Heidi yesterday.

I divide my reading between classics, fantasy, sci fi and teen lit.

I’m currently reading The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde and A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray.

Currently reading a few. And I’m not a lamb or some kind of animal. I read what I want to read because I like it not because other people say it was good. Other peoples opinions cannot speak for everyone my friend. Again I don’t just read from the classics or the bestsellers, I read whatever freakin book I want to read.

I don’t know what my favorite genre is… I like them all. There are some good books in a genre and some not so good books, theres no genre better than the others for me.

    12. L J says:

I am currently reading Carl Hiaasen’s Double Whammy. I love his work and am sorry that with this one I will have read them all.
As a Floridian I like his Florida subjects and his style of writing. As for genre, if I like it, I like it, I don’t really care.

    13. NAN ZIPPIE says:

Right now I am reading The Choir Boys and been on it for a few monthes….now that is one I can only read a few pages at a time, my gosh the language in it. A friend told me to read it….it was supposed to open my eyes. Must have thought I was a prude or something.
I have read Little House on the Prairie books, love them, so relaxing. The Red Tent and In the Shadow of the Ark were good.
Most of what I have read in the past few years was for the book club at church which is not going on any more.

    14. AriesPrincess~Slyffindor says:

A Thousand Splendid Sun, The Kite Runner, What Happened to Lani Garver? , the Lovely Bones, lucky, Star girl, Harry Potter, Life of Pi and much more! I like Romance too! I also Love Shakespeare. Basically anything that even though in a way harsh and disturbing and Heartbreaking, it will touch me and make my emotions go wild like a roller coaster.

    15. ♥ Dani says:

I do read a lot; unfortunately I’m not really reading anything right now. School finals have been taking up most of my free time. However, I do have Homer’s Iliad to finish - I started it a week or so ago but had to put it down to prepare for all my tests. I’ll get back to it as soon as I’m done with finals. =)

I like current bestsellers and classics equally. I don’t really have one favorite genre; I have many, including (but not limited to) fantasy, mystery, horror/thriller, humor, and historical fiction.

    16. Reading Queen says:

I love Meg Cabot (Heather Wells & Queen of Babble) and Sophie Kinsella’s (Shopaholic [soon to be movie] & Remember Me) books. I am in the process of reading Emily Giffin’s (Something Borrowed & Something Blue) books. They are all great authors!

For I teen I recommend Meg Cabot’s young adult books. She is the best author. Also best selling. She wrote tons of books including the Princess Diaries (Movies based on her books), Mediator (upcoming movie), 1-800-Missing (TV show based on her books), Jinx, and more. She has adult books too, so you can grow with her.

If you want more info or meg cabot’s website email me.

    19. life's journey says:

I prefer the classics or modern literature to best sellers. I usually find that best sellers are really inferior in every way to the classics and that basically I have wasted my time when I bother reading them.

On the other hand, the classics and modern literature are never a waste of time, but they do require much more effort.

I love to read and reading the classics is my greatest love.

I am reading “My Name is Red” by Orhan Pamuk. Pamuk is a Turkish writer who won the Nobel Prize for literature. This novel is highly unusual and requires great concentration, but it’s really worth it.

Basically I love to read novels and short stories.
